For the record, yes, I'll peek into the engine room as it speaks volumes 
about the operational attitude of those in charge, and secondly you should 
not have to ask to see the Masters papers, They are required to be posted 
prominently with the Vessels COI (certificate of inspection which spells out 
the area of operations allowed and the crewing required) and other papers, by 
the USCG.
