The story is that I know when to hold them and fold them, you do not have the experience to do so. Now you can go criticize Andrew Georgitsis for diving with JT and his guys or me , for that matter ,for diving with them and Christina. I went to Key West every now and then and dove with Billy since Billy was keenly interested in what WKPP was doing and what my latest findings were - he wanted to learn from me, not be an ass like you are being. He would do it my way when I dove with him as he did not have the ego problem, but what little he had to change to accommodate that was minimal, and all the big issues he had down cold. As soon as I was away for a while, he would start adding things back into his gear until he looked like a NE wreck diver, but he still knew how to operate a trip and how to be a good buddy. Again, you are not qualified to judge him or me, and neither is JT or any of the other complainers. I am still in the game, Billy bailed out - too may bad experiences - mostly with the asses in the dive business. When he wanted to have fun diving, he called me. You don't like it? Too bad. I dove with Exley all the time, too, and he killed himself diving deep air. When he dove with me, he did it our way, and his experience and cool in the water , like Billy , is something 99%V of you will unfortunately never get the opportunity to witness. So go ahead and try to criticize me for it. You know, I had to find all my own information, get fucked by idiots on all the worst gear, and dive with the biggest assholes in this town ( your buddies and others) , and all kinds of morons elsewhere to find out the hard way. You don't see that part because I am dishing out freely the results of my wasted time and money so you do not have to do the same or get killed finding out what I already know. You think this info has always been there - it has not. Unlike you and a good many of the others out there, when I decided that enough was enough of the bullshit, I asked, "Who is the best out there?" The one word that kept coming up was "WKPP", and the one name that kept coming up was "Bill Gavin". I went to them and never looked back. Due to continuing to learn and improve, I ended up running the project, and I have the best record out there. I will not stop commenting on the bullshit out there, whether I ever myself participated in it or not. Now, here's a senerio: A couple of guys go out on a dive trip. One of them suddenly never shows up to the boat---his car broke down on I95. Both are DIR, and both strictly adhere, so far, do DIR policy. They are both pretty new to DIR, and really are trying to do a good job. But the one guy whose is at the boat, hey, he has just spent 45.00 on this trip, and the Capt is not going to give him his $$ back. Hey, he thinks to himself, you know, I remember the time that George dove said he dove with a stroke, maybe just this once, it will be ok, for me to do it. It was ok for George, so it's really ok for me. Or, if worse comes to worse, I can always dive solo, Pina did it that one time, and everyone said it was ok for her to do it........ Now, can you see where this could cause a problem? I am not saying that the person would be right. I am just saying that he may do it, because 1) You did it once, and said that was justified 2) he didn't want to loose his money. All I am saying, walk the talk.
