Hi Charles:

Fortunately for all of us, deco is not even remotely as precise as you seem
to think. The stops are nothing more that a way to FORCE you to do a SLOW
ascent.

Ascend slowly, (what I feel is the most critical aspect of decompression),
do your deep stops and enjoy the dive. Then gauge the success / failure of
your deco by how you feel a few hours after the dive. If you decompressed
properly, you will feel energetic. If it was less than optimal you will
feel sluggish. If that happens, modify your deco until you find what works
best for you keeping in mind that more is not always better. Sometimes, the
cleanest decos are also the shortest decos and the same time span spent on
deco will yield different results depending on where in the water you
allocate it and with which gas you do it.

Good luck.

Joe Citelli
