Consider this: If you dive a 240fsw dive for 25 minutes, you will have 17 deco stops. If you ascend at 30fpm it would take you 20 seconds to arrive at your next stop. If you do not take this into account, then you would shorten your total recommended deco time by about 6 minutes (17stops X 0.33minutes=5.661 minutes). This is silly. Stop confusing yourself.
