I can't see this being a good idea. I've never tried it, or taken proper measurements, but my intuition tells me that there could be the following problems: -The wing nut might stick out too far and poke you in the back -The lead may interfere with the tightening of the wing nut (its a very soft metal) -The lead may have to be too thin near the wing nut so as to bend or break due to the thick and heavy middle section. -I think the lock washer would end up embedded in the lead Anyone try this?
