In Steve Barsky's (sp?) book on Dry Suit Diving, he recommends storing
the suit in an airtight bag to save the rubber from smog.  Not having
such a bag, he suggests a plastic garbage bag will also work.

P.S.  Personally I use a neoprene-type seal on my drysuit.  On the
manufacture's recommendation I've been using a WATER-based silicon
preservative on the seals.  1.5 years and they still look good.
