On a related topic:

I'm currently trying to convert some non-rechargable dive lights that
use 6V Lantern-type batteries to rechargable gel-cel (gelled
electrolyte lead-acid).  I've seen many, many 6V gel cells of
appropriate amp-hour capacity for sales at electronic/ham flea
markets, but none in the usual lantern battery with spring terminal
configuration.  Any thoughts on where this type of battery might be
available at less-than-outrageous cost?
