Some interesting points have been made and much of it has been just plain babble. But this last comment is absurd. Flowers are "placed" on a grave out of respect for the dead. The dishes and portholes of a wreck have nothing to do with any lost souls and were not "placed" there for them. That's like saying if I take a rock off of the ground I'm showing disrespect for the people buried in it (and if that's what you believe then you just have some strange beliefs).
