(1) The word confusion again? `regulator' = (a) "everything that you attach
to the top of your cylinder(s)", (b) "the bit with the mouthpiece on, i.e. the
second-stage".
(2) Do you mean these two arrangements?:-
(a) Tanks with manifold, reg with 2 second stages attached to manifold.
(b) Tanks with no manifold, one tank has a reg with one second-stage, the
other tank has a reg with two second stages.
The more second stages hanging about one diver, the more to get tangled and
cause confusion which is which and to get snagged or fouled in things and to
cause hydrodynamic drag in swimming. But one octopus is useful.
