  (1) Since oxygen rebreathers have been used in industry and for mines rescue
and by firemen etc since about 1900, surely the matter of disinfecting
rebreather bags and how necessary it is has been sorted out ages ago!?
  (2) This is probably 30 years too late to ask this, but: How convenient
would it be to wear an aqualung AND an oxygen rebreather (not a sort in a
backpack box), and use the rebreather as a lifejacket in emergency otherwise
for decomprsssing on etc? I have seen several makes of rebreather that have no
parts that would interfere with an aqualung worn also.
