It appears that attitude more than any other single factor may make the difference between a safe and unsafe rebreather diver. Experience on OC does not guarantee a good CC diver (it can help given the assets experience brings, but mostly in the area of respect for Mr. Murphy and his relationship to diving accidents). As to the unlearning issue, repetitions (almost to excess) of basic skills is the proper approach for every diver wishing to certify in rebreathers. On a related matter, the Odyssey just completed test dives at the 40 Fathom Grotto completing its last dive at 240 feet. The work of breathing was considered excellent and all other components worked well. -Dave "Self Honesty is the fuel for all our travels." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dave Schubert Executive Director, Dive USA PADI Course Director PADI, IANTD, Odyssey, DAN, REEF, EMP IANTD Instructor Trainer 1201 North Ocean Drive RBC Odyssey Instructor Singer Island, FL. 33404 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 407/844-5100, FAX: 407/848-0627
