Has anybody heard >anything about the NITROX ready version of the Uwatec Air-X? > Try e-mailing Dive USA at <diveusa@ga*.ne*> They have a rebreather program you can get in right now with the Odyssey, and you'd be diving it in West Palm and Pompano, so you know you'll get a taste of the best tek diving there is. As far as Nitrox computers, I've been using the Nemesis II Nitrox for a few months now and have found it to be an excellent computer. There is nothing this computer can't do (that I would want) except maybe have a help screen for the first week you use it---when you pack this many features into a computer, plan on it being a little beyond a "plug and play" setup...figure on three hours on the manual, and then it should start to make a lot more sense to you. But even though this computer can do all the calculations for you, even pure O2 deco, don't let yourself become a "COMPUTER DEPENDENT DIVER". You need to become very comfortable with pre-dive planning and all calculations without the computer before you have any business using one for serious exposures. No computer is infallible, so reliance on a system as comprehensive as the Nemesis could easily make you lacsidasical about planning your dive----and divers who become this way are unsafe divers. Assuming you know all this already, I think you'd be very happy with this computer. Dan > Dan Volker SOUTH FLORIDA DIVE JOURNAL http://www.florida.net/scuba/dive 407-683-3592
