With the BS-AC 88 tables (British Sub-Aqua Club), you do all your stops at 6m and 9m. Ascent rate is 15m per minute to 6m (or 9m if it's a 9m stop), then 6m per minute to the surface. I always do a minute stop at 6m, as 6m/min is very slow, (ie one whole minute to go up 6m!) and the thinking is that if you do a minute at 6m, then it helps if your final ascent rate is a tad faster than 6m/minute. I've been on sea dives when theres been a bit of a swell running, and noticed that sometimes (when a big trough passes over, I guess) my computer (a Monitor II) would beep and display the fast ascent warning! -- Gordon Henderson is gordon@me*.co* Meiko Scientific Ltd. 650 Aztec West, Bristol England UK
