I agree with most of this. I'm not sure I agree with the trimix requirement if you're selling a nitrox rebreather. I began training in mixed gas and deep air specifically because I wanted to prepare for rebreather training, even though I have no great desire to dive trimix or depths beyond 200 fsw (at least right now :). It seemed to be the correct way to approach the rebreather. The above is the perspective of a novice interested in buying and using a rebreather for sport diving; I don't consider myself a 'technical diver' even though some of my dive buddies have started to give me odd looks. I don't think that $1500 worth of training is too much when it's your butt on the line. Scott.
