Bob.  Your not the only "Newbie"  that has felt that way.

It seems that if you were an "original Techie"  that's ok, but to express and
interest later in the game is like babysitting a little brother.

I did not invest in my full cave training, Nitrox (or enriched air) training,
not to meantion all the gear I now have, plus my wish list to kiss up to or
be "tolerated" by someone who happened to express their interest in tech
diving first, and now no longer want to have to be bothered by the "freshman"


The reason I subscribed to this list, and activily monitor it as well as
Compuserves Scuba Forum and it's technical and cave sections is to continue
to learn and think about all aspects of diving from a wide variety of people.
