Chris, Are you saying that the trimix program has the end result of not producing a fully rounded diver? I agree, but this is no different from any of the other courses that are offered by recreational diving organisations these days. I did my basic dive course in the old 'paramilitary' days. The object of those courses was to turn non divers into divers. Now the object is to make a living for the instructors. (Witness the whining of the nitrox and trimix instructors when we objected to paying for 3 courses for one bit of info) The result of this change is that it has become the duty of those who know to help those who don't. That is what this list should be all about, not worrying about 'wanabes' getting on the list. You must have been a wanabe at one time. I still am. I wanabe a better diver. I wanabe a helpful diver. I ask questions when I don't know. When I do know or I have some info, then I offer it.
