Frank, I am really not the guy to ask this stuff. I just show up every day and workout , I do all of the swim bike run stuff plus lift weights, and I mix it up . I will occasionally run long or swim long, but mostly just do intervals with some max output, I lift only for strength and only do strength lifts, like dead, squat , bench , heavy pulls, etc. Riding pretty much is a long thing. Eating is not my specialty - I eat whatever whenever, but I do eat five times per day, and I do use protein drinks. Ask Cameron Martz - he knows what he is doing with this stuff. My only input is "show up every day". Now, if you want to keep the fat off, then I can tell you that not doing too much distance is key, weightlifting is key, and protein is key. You can not let your body do what it wants to do , which is remove muscle and save fat. What that does for you otherwise I don't know. -----Original Message----- From: Frank Stoop [mailto:wubben.stoop@12*.nl*] Sent: Saturday, March 03, 3607 2:53 AM Subject: Re: fitness, no reply, pls To: techdiver@aquanaut.com Hello george, for a decade i've done IM's for competition and trained about 30 hours/week. But a good diet was as important as the training; no fat, except for some oil necessary for the hormons. Do you have special diet ? prefernces in kind of food ? Your aerobic training , f.e. running , is that just running for x time or kilometres, or do you use more effective methodes like interval training with a heartbeat watch?
