Peak vascular development does not even hit until about age 31. The older
guys are usually better able to tolerate this stuff than the younger.
However, I do not even consider that , since I am 50 and my dive partner is
32, and we have been doing this together since I was in my 30's and he was
in his teens, and we both get the same results doing the same thing.

The cold and tired part says the guy should skip the dive. There is no deco
that alters any of that.

Really, if one is out of shape or is not feeling well, diving is not the
best thing to be doing. You can not make up for out of shape with deco, you
can only do damage.

  George

Glad to see you are continuing this thread.
You have described how the deco profile changes with depth and time.
I am curious about other factors that might apply.

  Example:
Take a certain dept/time (70m/30min) and compare the optimal deco profiles
for these divers:

Diver 1: 50 years old, average/good fitness, feeling cold and exhausted
Diver 2: 30 years old, very good fitness, not feeling cold nor exhausted

Otherwise assuming "controllable" factors to be ok (non smoking/well
hydrated etc.) but you might have others.
