JT- >You misread >my earlier post, Eric knows you do not blame him for what happen, he also >knows the diver is very thankful he "Happened" to be there to save him. >Eric will not discuss the dive with me, I had to get the info from someone >else. Eric just moved down there and wants to dive, he has this notion that >he will not get to go on anymore dives if he talks. You and the Man-Child should really drop the Eric/VBTECH issue as you guys are doing him a great dis-service. There was not anything special to this. Upon completion of his deco Eric surfaced next to the individual (who had also completed deco) to await recovery by the boat which was right on scene adjacent to the poly ball marking our shot line (live boat). On the surface, the individual "felt" the onset and spit out his regulator. His eyes then rolled back. Eric *happened* to be right next to him and did what any experienced diver would do. He saw the diver was unconscious (his mask was not full of blood) and he kept the individuals head out of the water. He flagged the boat to notify them of the emergency. Rescue Diver 101. This is basic shit JT. Diver was pulled on board and the others went to work on him. As others surfaced to see the situation, they boarded the boat to take action. Now, it was indeed fortunate that there was someone else on scene. This is what made the difference from a potential drowning, to someone who is A-OK the day after the incident. However, there was no ryhme or reason for Eric being there aside from the fact he had finished deco. Period. Now, go ahead and try to push your VBTECH agenda. If you have a different version of the rescue, someone is feeding you a bunch of bullshit, or someone's story has radically changed. I wonder which one it is? As there were several witnesses who heard Eric's version of the events numerous times, I doubt it is the latter.
