Nick, yes , it is called WKPP. We generally go out on boats where we can get the whole boat or on boats where we know there will be nice people who just like to dive an are not assholes who think they are techdivers. -----Original Message----- From: Nick Radov [mailto:NRadov@ax*.co*] Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2002 2:20 AM To: pina Cc: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: RE: DIR and Solo Diving Pina, Do you folks in south Florida have a local e-mail list for finding DIR dive buddies? We've had one going in northern California for about a year and it has really been useful. There are enough of us that if you need a buddy on any particular day you can usually find one. I know a number of divers around here (myself included) who used to dive solo or take the luck of the draw on recreational charter boats. But now we no longer have to run those risks. If I'm on an open boat with a DIR buddy then I usually don't mind letting another random diver tag along as a third, but I figure it's best to have at least one person on the team who you can count on to watch your back. Anyway, that's just a suggestion. I don't care whether you solo dive or not so no need to flame me. :-) -Nick -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
