What separates us from animals and let me put it your your
perspective-dogs, is that we have the ability to make judgment calls.
Obviously, Pina is an accomplished diver and her call that day was to dive
solo after assessing the situation. If it was a dive that was in very
familiar water with good conditions, then I do not blame her for going solo.
I have done it many times in Florida when I am doing simple OW when the
alternatives are diving with strokes.
Many have asked why I didn't ask Pina to go with me?
I think the answer is obvious. Take a look at yourself. You are a loud
mouthed know it all. Who wants a dive lesson from the amateurs? This is why
I stay off most rec boats because everyone pisses me off with their
"expertise".
Whenever I am assessing a partner I also have to consider, "Can I tow this
person?" or "Will they be able to tow me"? I think Pina probably also made
this call because I certainly would have.
I had a dive buddy, and was the first off the boat. I had no clue she was
diving solo, or I might have said something. The only reason I knew, was
because my buddy and I met her along the way, with no buddy in sight.
She probably remembered Rule #1 and avoided you like the OMS bungee wings.
You are whining because you so desperately want to be in George's playground
but you do not want to follow the school yard rules.
So, logically then, the assumption would be that Pina is a stroke diver,
since she was solo diving.
Your line of reasoning defies logic. Grow up and take your spanking from
the list like a woman. And get a life and join a gym. I have no resentment
against those who are over weight, my mother was morbidly obese-but she did
not dive and regretfully died of colon cancer as part of her weight
problem.
