I was advised against initially cutting latex neck and wrist seals of my
membrane suit as if too much is cut off it cannot be replaced and instead
to try stretching it. I stretched mine over a 10l cylinder (neck) and
coffee jars (wrists), with the result that the seals felt much more
comfortable and I didn't have to cut any off. True they still felt tight
and it initially took some time to get used to the feeling, but at least
the blood could then get thru! I agree if overstretched this can be as
irreversible as cutting but I feel it can be done more gradually. I have
now replaced the suit with a CF200 - again with a latex neck seal and
stretching it over a cylinder, but this time I decided that I wanted to
have more circulation in my fingers and resoprted to neoprene wrist seals.
