Paul: I'd love to do what to you ask... put my money where my mouth is... and become a instructor. Unfortunately, I have costed a trip to Florida; sans tuition, it will cost me an equivalent of half a years pay from my "real world" job. (Can you spell third world country?). In addition I don't do any "real diving". I do "work diving" which is assisting in U/W archeological excavations, videography and the like when I can escape my office. Besides go to Florida to learn how to dive in a Dry suit? Philippines waters rarely demand things thicker than 5mm neoprene, even during the winter months. Heck, I fun dive in 3mm shorty. Anyway, I am not accusing GUE of not being bigger than it is. I think it is great that it maintains a high quality standard. I just wanted to emphasize that, in my opinion, Halcyon (being owned by DIR advocates) has a moral obligation to make sure that its equipment is used right; not unlike its policy when it comes to the purchase of its rebreathers. I think it is only fair that DIR moralists should also put their money where their mouth is. cheers too!
