This is one of the biggest problems in our industry.  The very people that
are in the position to change it and make it better, are the one's who are
screwing it up.  That's why it is ''ALL OF OUR JOBS'', to try and make it
better for others who will someday follow.......... then lead.  We can't fix
it over night no easier that we could eat an elephant.  We must eat the
elephant one bite at a time.  Change is always slow.  We must be focused and
attack the issue with great endurance, building momentum as we go.  Not
everyone is stupid(although we do have our lions share) but there is a lot
of ignorance in the dive industry.  Fostered and perpetuated by the
manufactures and certifying agencies then further spread by divestores and
instructors who think that they know what they need to, and stop trying to
gain more knowledge.
