Thom, You need to master nitrox diving and associated concepts before you move to helium. Then you need to find out about welding suppliers. Its not a quantum leap from nitrox to trimix once you understand partial pressure filling and oxygen toxicity but you do need to figure these things out first. i started homebrewing and diving mix before i took a class just for laughs;ive been doing it for about a year now. I thought and read about mix for a good long while till i felt like wtf im just going to do it, and then i did.. you can figure it out if you want to, but dont expect people to hold you hand or to say its "ok". In other words if this scares you , or you feel you 'need' permission, maybe you are not ready just yet. and thats ok. Marv PS this sounds alot like the USS Algol off NJ, also a nice dive.
