Stefan, actually austrian bottle manufacturer Heiser released early this year 10l steel bottles wrapped with carbon. These were claimed to be 30 % lighter than normal ones, which would make them probably great stage bottles. Fireworkers bottles have an aluminium kernel. Their low weight will have to be taken in account by adding lead. They have different failure modes. In a failure , they will not explode, but spray with bubbles. There may be a future for these bottles in rebreathers, ( MK 15 .**for instance.
