Can't speak for the rest of the world, but I use the same reels, loaded with
#24 line, whether diving wrecks or caves. In about any given year I'll do in
excess of 100 wreck dives and have never had a problem with fraying or
cutting of the line. Choose tie-offs prudently and don't tug on the line.
