        My understanding per discussions with Tim O'Leary, Director of 
Operations for NAUI's Technical Division, Trimix instructors are being 
permitted to ignore the deep air requirements.  I suspect the next standards 
update will reflect that fact.  NAUI does not currently offer a program that 
even allows a training depth of 160 fsw using O2/N2 mixes, the acception 
being the Extended Range course which virtually would take an act of God to 
get approval to run.  I'm not a trimix instructor, can't give a definative 
answer as such.  I'd suggest clicking on the email link at the nauitec.com 
website and asking Tim what the deal is.
