I've never tried mono underwater, just >for fishing. >Don Burke >Chesapeake, Virginia in addition braided line is more resistant to cutting and fraying. this can be a problem if the line lays over a sharp edge, slight rubbing back and forth or a pull on the line can cause the edge to act as a cutter. the braided line does not completely flatten out, their for only the side on the rock will cut. with twisted line a pull will cause the line to spread out and flatten out over the edge, this exposes the entire line to cutting on the rock. you budding rockstars out there take note of this also Questions, yell.
