Hi Matthias, At 09:24 9/11/2000 +0100, you wrote: >couldn't the scrathc inside your MK 10 's body be honed away with a >honing tool or a reamer, then , only in case diameter is too big, >regalvanized ? Perhaps (although I'd guess it would be a tricky job if at all possible) but I'd rather get a new first that's easier/cheaper for me to service. The MK10 is bound to get scratched again, last time *I* replaced the piston stem O-ring it took me about half an hour to dig it out (actually eventually someone else got it out for me). Besides I've had the shits with Scubapro (or at least the Aussie distributors) since they reniged on the life time parts warrenty I supposedly got when I first bought some of my regs and then jacked up all the prices (I don't know maybe there was a change of ownership or something but you don't build a loyal consumer base letting that sort of thing happen). I'd rather give my business to someone else. The Apeks firsts are so easy to service it's not funny and service kits are cheap and straight forward to order (only 5 kits for the whole range of regs and accessories from memory).
