Apeks  =>  no special tool needed  :-)

True.  Although it can't hurt (well I guess it could if you weren't
careful) to pull things apart from time to time and give everything a good
clean, lubricate threads and O-rings.  At least make it easier to service
gear when the need arrises (particularly relevant for those of us who ocean
dive (calcium deposits sand, algae, etc)).

Warrenty on the SP made annual service kits free.  Really a marketing gimic
though as few people keep the annual services up.  I did  (although I
usually serviced more than once a year due to high use) until they stopped
the deal.  The service kits are actually quite expensive and the shop seems
to have a lot of trouble getting the right ones.
