Focus and conditioning." - GI Something that the Japanese - where judo originated - called "uchikomi" which means continuous practice without throwing, conditioning the body to undertake the movements, fit your body into your opponent's, achieve "kuzushi" (the breaking of balance) without thinking and be in a position to finalise the throw by putting your opponent flat on his/her back on the tatami (mat). You only achieve the ability to throw "without thinking" by lots and lots of uchikomi. As George says above these principle are very useful in tech diving.
