	If you do have an old Mini C and you will use it for flares, keep 
the little black beads that are the catalytic converters for hydrogen.
(2H2+O2=> 2H2O)  They are important to preventing accidental explosions.
Also, when not in use, keep the flares dry, cool, and leave the 
container open to the air, i.e. not sealed.  It is a good precaution 
for flashlights as well.
