Hello all,

I've always wanted to carry flares when doing offshore wreck diving, but 
haven't been able to find anything suitable.  A couple of ingenious divers
in the club I belong to suggested the following solution:  Buy an IKE MINI-C
light (or use one you already have).  Remove the batteries, lamp, and reflector
assembly, leaving only the plexiglass, O-ring, and screw-on top.  You now have
an O-ring sealed container that can hold up to 3 of those tiny boating flares 
you'll find at your local marine supplier.

Anyway, I've got an old IKE mini-C at home that I haven't used in a few years,
so I plan to visit "Boat US" (a local marine supplier near me) this week to 
check-out this idea.  Perhaps others on the list have already tried this?
