There is a common misconception that BC inflators need to be "high flow". I
guess this comes from the "bigger is better" marketing mindset.

Should you get some sand in the valve and it jams in the open position, you
need to have time to disconnect the hose. If you have a super-de-duper "high
flow" version then by the time you fix the problem you are on a high-speed
trip to the your final destiny.

I honestly wish I could get in the mind of engineers who come up with crap
like this. What were they thinking?

The fact is that as you descend you inflate your wings. If you wait until
you see the bottom (at least around here) then it is too late and you are
going to crash. The inflators which come on AUL, DiveRite and Halycon are
the correct units. The OMS, ScubaPro and their ilk are dangerous crap.
