It seems that there are a number of people who have had similar problems. EE put shrink wrap on the connection for a good reason, it is not = designed to be removed, the plastic 'ears' will break off pretty soon. If you have broken the = 'ears', the suggested solutions included: - make sure that you position the tube of the balance valve against your = leg so that it twists the connection closed. - glue or tape the connection together. EE have been extremely helpful- they picked up my original Techdiver = post and have offered to replace the parts if I ship the valve to them.
