I have the same P-valve, and a couple of weeks ago that same connection
actually broke on mine, resulting in cold sea water flooding down my leg
(luckily at the very end of a shallow recreational dive). I now keep the
screw-down plug in the outlet closed at all times when not in use. Note that
I've previously also had the rubber tube next to that connector split. I
think that the problem is due to mounting the P-valve too high so that it
gets flexed too close to the connector when bending over. The instructions
from EE should probably mention this.

Anyway, I managed to work out a good fix. You can replace the 2-piece
plastic connector with a brass push-fit air-hose connector (with male screw
fitting) from home depot. I drilled-out the hole in the plastic P-valve
end-piece to enlarge it, and then (after a lot of effort) managed to screw
the brass fitting into the hole.

I have been having problems with my Extreme Exposure balanced p-valve.
The final connection (where the discharge tube joins the round plastic block
that is glued to the drysuit) twisted and became detached. I removed the
black plastic shrink wrap and re-connected it, but decided not to put wrap
back on so I could inspect it before each dive.

I now find that the connection has a tendency to twist open, and come off,
with all the nasty side effects you would expect. I have seen the same
problem with several other EE p-valves. Does anybody have a suggested
solution ?

  Cheers,

  Simon Murray
