Paul - The old Beuchat VX-10 paired a rebadged Apeks Tech second stage with a french made 1st stage that was similar to the Scubapro Mk10. I still use mine on my 02 bottle but found it was an indifferent performer at depth. As I understand it, none of the current Beuchat "evolution" regulators are Apeks made and none are particularly strong performers.
