Dr Buttcrack, a 20/30 trimix gives me a pp02 of 1.2 at 48 metres and a useable gas for oh, eight local wrecks between 45 and 55 metres. I also fill my deco cylinder with 50. You, being ignorant about advanced diving, will be surprised to learn that 50 is the optimal decompression gas for dives down to 60 metres, beyond which the addition of a sling of 02 makes the ideal deco combination for dives to 90 metres. On the other hand, you and your single cylinder and pony of 39 (which we will refer to hereafter as MickeyMix) are totally unprepared for ANY dives that involve an overhead environment and ANY dives requiring decompression. And you put yourself and the people you dive with at risk because you carry a hot mix on your back. As I said before - rotten thinking, rotten skills, rotten knowledge, rotten dive-planning. This is why you, ButtCrack, have to putt round in your boat in the hope of finding a wreck site that isn't occupied by boatloads of student divers on open water courses while we, with our far more appropriate and flexible gas and cylinder choices, properly equipped boat and professional skipper, can dive any wreck we like. Of course, if you had done a good technical course, you would have learned something about technical diving and dive planning. But instead, Dr Buttcrack, you went to TDI and did Advanced Strokery, hence your constant stream of ignorance and nonsense on these lists. rgrds billyw -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
