Bill, Unless they are supplying different first stages in the UK, all the Poseidon regs in the US come/came with diaphragm first stages. The Cyklon 300 and the Thor used a first stage that was unbalanced as to tank pressures. Bottom line is that as the tank pressures decreased, the intermediate pressures creeped up (increased). This results in a regulator that gives very little warning as to low tank pressures, especially in the Cyklon, as the regulator actually breathed easier as tank pressures approached empty, and at very low tank pressures could actually develop a slow freeflow in the Cyklon. The Cyklon 5000 and the Odin first stages are balanced as to tank pressures, so the free flow problem with the Cyklon at low tank pressures no longer occurs. Also, the regs breathe easily all the way down to about 150psi above ambient, at which point they begin to breath hard, but this is not the kind of warning many of us were used to expecting. John
