MJB Anderson and others were referenced several times in Bennet & Elliot's book. The reason I'm jumping into the conversation, is that Anderson, et al. claim Hyperoxic Myopia is rare in non-diabetic patients under 50, whereas I know a diver who suffered it after (sucessful) treatment for type II DCS. He was an otherwise healty adult male ~30 yo in excellent physical condition, but had vision problems for about 2 weeks after completing 4 or 5 TT6s. Does anyone know if the Anderson cite has been superceded? It seems that his paper focused mainly on LOLs (Little Old Ladies) getting hyperbaric therapy for non-dive injuries. These tend to be less agressive than treatments for dive injuries, so I was wondering if it was commoner than reported, in divers receiving treatment?
