Tom, You are actually paying a nice compliment to George. You are saying that he was taught by the best and took the best that these people had to offer. He also has the best dive partner pulling for him in JJ. To me, this is as good as it gets. "You simply emerged many years later and was fortunate enough to have Parker Turner( a good friend of mine and a student of my dive Partner Frank Martz)take you under his wing and teach you the basics of caving and exploration and then Bill Gavin developed your exploration skills. Today you are lucky to have JJ pulling the way for you .." These are your own words from the e-mail posted on tech techdiver list. The further question is what has he done for diving after this "simple emergence" as you politely call it. Simply took those antiquated ideas that were developed in the dark ages (which you are still in) and updated them into the best system with the best safety record. Something that speaks for itself. Sorry but I won't see you at the next Dive Girl meeting as I won't be there. Don -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
