Steve, Both my personal experience and also in reading the other posts from this list has shown one thing to ALWAYS be true. If anyone asks a question in a simple and straightforward manner and then takes the answers for what they are which is advice from people who have A LOT more experience than the person asking, then there is no swearing or flaming. There is a great trading of information and it is FREE for the asking. I have learned so much more in a few months from this list than I ever did from any course I have taken up to this point (These were all from PADI so this is a no brainer). I personally have asked some very basic questions and this whole list has been happy to provide information without name calling or being considered an inferior diver for not knowing it. The only time when warfare breaks out is when someone comes on this list trying to prove they are better or smarter than the very people they are asking questions to. All you have to do is go back and look at the posts and you will see that this is the case. Questions and comments are answered in the same manner as the original post. If the original is a legitimate comment or question then it is replied to in the same manner. If the original is the tossing of a hand grenade, the tosser is blown to oblivion with nuclear weapons. If you have a problem with this, then go to a Dive Girl rah rah meeting. They'll welcome you with open arms.
