The two problems cited with the Poseidon 2nd are:
1) In the event of fouling causing a freeflow or fouling of the exhaust
valve causing it to breathe wet, the cover can not be removed to clear it
without tools. On the Scubapro, Apeks and Oceanics (if you cut a small tab
off) you can just unscrew the cover which exposes the diaphram and the
exhaust valve and you can clean it off or reposition it if necessary:
2) The Poseidon places the purge in a non-standard postion (on the side
for the Cyklons - not sure about the others cause I never had one and
haven't been interested enough to look closely) which could cause confusion
in an emergent situation.
