Bruce,2nd stage needs to be finger tight on all hoses for total back up.
i.e. if your second stage primary failed at depth,you unscrew 2nd from
stage bottle to replace long hose 2nd : fully efficient back gas with 2
hoses in case of ooa scenario.
There is a problem with Poseidon 2nd`s which I think is a small needle
inside 2nd which bends on switching.
Oviously before switching you shut down relevant post and purge reg,then
when fitted, turn on post and purge again.
When reaching your first deco stop, you can then transfer switched second
back to relevant bottle.
This system gives you 3/4/5 usable 2nd`s whatever your configuration.
Whats the point of having 4 2nd`s if one dies on you and you can`t use the
other two?
Scenario: you get separated on a deco stop at 70fsw.
Your 2nd on 70fsw gas fails!DO you A) blow off the deco and go straight to
Oxygen at 20 fsw?
Or B) go to back gas back up 2nd and use the primary to replace deco 2nd
on 70 fsw deco gas?
