I went to 5th D last week as well. They have all what GUE or DIR folks would call stroke gear. I think there are some very valid questions here, that should be addressed. I spoke to one of the fellows (forget his name) at 5th D, and he tried pushing me toward the PDIC course, which I dont want. My questions about GUE training went mostly unanswered. It was rather disturbing to me, as I am in the sales business, and normally this type of tactic is called "Bait and Switch". It is considered tacky at best, and is illegal at worst. I also found it kind of amusing to see very little Halcyon or DIR gear in a shop where DIR and GUE are supposed to be based. To be honest, Andrew may be a very good diver, but I think I will make my purchases, and seek training elsewhere.
