Scott, I've read that you're not supposed to operate your light unless it is immersed in water. I'm not sure if the Delrin head models will be able to dissipate heat sufficiently to keep from melting the light head if they are stored rectally. I think I read a monograph on this entitled, "Rectal Temperature Cooling of Light Heads" in a PADI Update that my local dive shop had laying on the counter... I'll try to find it.
