Yeah, a couple years ago I bought an OMS 100# BC, dove it once. It was
horrible. First thing that happened was the shoulder dump valve stuck open.
I walked out, and hung it on the wall.

Then, I was on the horns of a dilemma, because I couldn't, in good
conscious, sell it to anyone.

Then, an insurance salesman, and PADI instructor, came into the shop, and
proceeded to tell us all about how bitchin these things were, the "cats
meow", and bought. I let him.

After all, he was covered. <big toothy smile>

This will be a great thread;

What was the most expensive piece of shit for dive gear you ever bought?

Mine was easy, an Oceanic Data Trans computer. With the clip mounted
retractor. So you could hang it off the front of you. Thing that was most
cool about it was this: when it lost contact with the transmitter, it just
displayed the last known pressure, until it re-established contact, then
would update the display. I dont think anyone makes a bigger, klunkier
computer, except for that POS that Dacor puts out.
