Dave,
How many of the "nice guys" do you think are actively dispensing advice
which will often kill.  This thread started in relation to Tom Mount, and if
you meet him, he really is a nice guy.  The problem is, he is nice to the
dangerous members of his BOD, and to the percentage of  IANTD instructors
who have killed, or will soon kill, and/or will kill again. George sees  all
this "niceness" as being ineffective in preventing the dissemination of
dangerous ideas, and many of us, even potentially you yourself, are not in
the habit of being nice to people we feel are about to be an accomplice to
murder.

If you look back at some of the glaring stupidities in IANTD and TDI
standards in the last 3 years, you should have a much better idea about why
George is not being nice to the "mouth", or to those who support him.

Could George have attempted to "nicely" ask Tom to make changes? Of course,
and he did, and guess what....NOTHING resulted. Its Easy to ignore nice.
The George "with a vengeance" is harder to ignore, and has made effective
changes no one else managed to make.

You are correct, of course. The dogmatic will not change, and the
rude will always be rude. I'm sorry I wasted my breath. I just hate
bullys, and there are -lots- of them here among the good guys that
are also here.  I cannot resolve in my head the friendly brothers that
I dive with and the shouting rabble here.
