Make sure that you are not allowing petroleum based products (like vasoline 
aka petroleum jelly) near a rubber mask, or silicone based lubricants 
(silicone grease) to be near silicone based products (mask skirts).  Like 
products will break down the material.  

Some men with mustaches use a lubricant to allow a better seal near the 
mustache.  If you are doing so, then make sure you are using the right one.  
Watch out for suntan lotions as well, for the same type of problem.  If you 
are using any other products on your face, like moisturizers, check that too.
